California ISO Headquarters & Operations Center

This was a visionary project for the non-profit ISO, which manages the electrical grid for the entire state of California. The over-arching goal in the new facility was to create a secure, innovative and energy efficient headquarters complex. A further design goal was to enhance the work environment so that California ISO becomes the “employer of choice” for engineering and technical staff in the region.

Treasure Island Ferry Terminal

A new ferry terminal on the western shore of Treasure Island will provide easy access to San Francisco’s Financial District. Oyster Point Park

Dreyfuss + Blackford’s approach to this new waterfront park centered on creating a series of sculptural and abstract objects in a developing landscape, which frames the unlikely pairing of a bayside marina and burgeoning biotech community.

Three restroom buildings are located along the edge of the Bay Trail and support public passive and active recreational uses within the park for marina-bound boaters, beach visitors, cyclists and walkers.

City of Sacramento, Homeless Supportive Housing

This housing conceptual design is one of three that can be deployed at multiple identified sites in the City of Sacramento to help transition people from living on the streets to permanent housing. The design is a kit of parts that can be deployed wherever necessary and then moved to the next area of the city that needs it. Our solution fits the operating model of local non-profits that will be operating the community sites and providing supportive services to the individuals.
