Dreyfuss + Blackford’s work in the community is built on a foundation of relationships that go back to our founding in 1950. It is these relationships that have grounded us and helped connect us to incredible people doing incredible things. Sam Greenlee, the executive director of Alchemist Public Market (APM) is one of these people.
I was connected to Sam and APM through a continued relationship with the City of Sacramento’s Redevelopment Agency staff and projects that serve to restore blighted neighborhoods and leverage our underutilized resources. Sam’s immediate enthusiasm and passion for cultivating a better Sacramento was undeniable and infectious, creating the best possible partnership for a project of this importance.

Listening to Sam talk about APM and what it has done, is doing, and wants to do, for the community had us enthusiastically and immediately asking, “how can we help?” We assembled a team and set out to develop a vision for the project and assisting Sam with securing the funding necessary to make this project a reality.
